Edwardes Lake
Edwardes Lake

Thomas Dyer Edwardes, an Englishman, gave a gift of 34 acres of the Leamington Estate to the people of Preston in 1914 to be used as a park. Once the land was given to the Council, they started planting trees and talked about constructing a dam and a weir. The land area covers over 20 hectares allowing ample space for up to 133,000 people enjoy the area whilst maintaining a distance of 1.5m per person.

Please check current rules to see if you are permitted to go to this area under government restrictions. Resevoir, Thomastown, Coburg, Fawkner, Preston and Pascoe Vale all fall within a 5km radius of this beautiful location.
